About Us

About Us

The Prairie Grove church of Christ is a family of people who believe in a real and living God who rewards those who diligently seek Him (Heb. 11:6). We believe that Jesus (Hebrew Yeshua) is the Son of God, that He died for our sins, and that He rose from the dead (1 Cor. 15:3–4). We hold the Bible to be God’s word and our source of truth (2 Tim. 3:16).

We are a community of believers from many backgrounds and perspectives. As an autonomous congregation, we are not governed by any larger organization or hierarchy. We believe each person must live by his or her own faith and understanding of Scripture, and that unity is found through the Holy Spirit and the Gospel of Jesus Christ—not through enforced uniformity.

Our priority is to be the family of God: searching the Scriptures, growing in faith, and focusing on knowing Jesus Christ and Him crucified (1 Cor. 2:2). We acknowledge our imperfections in both action and knowledge, yet we strive to practice patience, grace, and forgiveness through Jesus Christ. We welcome people from all walks of life without judgment.

We offer several opportunities to draw closer to God and to our church family. Bible classes meet on Sundays at 9:30 AM and 5:00 PM, and on Wednesdays at 6:00 PM. Our corporate worship takes place on Sunday mornings at 10:30 AM. (Click here for directions.)

During our worship assemblies, we pray together, sing together, and partake of the Lord’s Supper. Each week, someone shares an encouraging message from the Bible. On the last Sunday of every month, after our morning worship concludes, we enjoy a congregational potluck meal. (Click here to see our calendar.)

If you have questions or would like to know more, please use the form on the right to send us a message. (The form is available when viewing the website in the web version.)
