Missionaries

God calls on us to provide for the material needs of believers who engage in spiritual work. (See 1 Cor. 9:11-14; Gal. 6:5-6; Luke 10:7; I Tim. 5:17-18; et al.). With that in mind, some of the financial contributions made by members of the Prairie Grove Church of Christ go to the following individuals.
  • Daniel and his wife Waleska (in Alauca, a municipality in the El Paraiso department of Honduras)
  • Javier and his wife Erlinda (in Cuyali, a community in the El Paraiso department of Honduras)
  • Jesus and his wife Marta (in Oropoli, a municipality in the El Paraiso department of Honduras)
  • Rui Diogo and his wife Nadia (in Brazil)
  • William (in Cassel, a village in South Africa
Several members of the Prairie Grove Church of Christ have worked with Jerry Max Morgan by donating survival items to the people of Ukraine. For more than 20 years, Jerry and his wife Donna have been serving the people of Ukraine. In 2014, the Russo-Ukrainian War started. Eight years later, on February 24, 2022, Russia launched a full-scale military invasion of Ukraine, targeting major cities, with the aim of overthrowing the Ukrainian government. The number of lives lost in the war is in the thousands, with hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians wounded, and millions displaced. (Click here for more information about Jerry and Ukraine Relief.)

Practical & Supportive Gifts for Grieving Widows and Widowers

Some members work together in providing care packages for grieving widows and widowers. The packages are custom tote bags that include practical items such as toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, tea, paper plates along with a flyer with information about the Prairie Grove Church of Christ. These items address immediate, everyday needs when the bereaved may lack energy or not be able to focus on managing household tasks. The packages are taken to Luginbuel Funeral Home for distribution. Providing the tote bags to grieving widows and widowers is a benevolent work done by members in the name of the Lord Jesus (Col. 3:17).
